ABOUT THE MUSIC
If Jackie Kennedy and Andy Warhol threw a masquerade ball, You Bred Raptors? is the band that would play it.
Founded in 2010 by composer/8-string bassist Peat Rains, You Bred Raptors? is a three-piece post-rock orchestral ensemble comprised of an 8-string bass, cello, drums, and glockenspiels. Perfectly suited for events where the super-elite mingle with the ultra-hip, You Bred Raptors? delivers on high-end expectations by solidly anchoring their performance in haunting classical undertones. As the sound wanders down shadowy progressive rock avenues and flirts with dark metal influences, YBR? create an almost nostalgic, somewhat eerie, full-on sensory experience. Adventure-seekers find intrigue in abundance, while traditionalists are challenged just enough to be thrilled. Expectations are universally exceeded.
You Bred Raptors? is one of those rare acts who can blend artfully into the background at the most luxe affair, while still somehow emerging the next morning as the most talked-about guest at the party.
